SPAIN) from £200, per person.1 DAY COURSE
RYA
Personal Watercraft Proficiency Course
This course is designed to ensure that you get the maximum fun from your PWC
(Personal Watercraft) Jetbike / Jetski by teaching you how to drive safely and
responsibly with maximum excitement! This internationally recognized certificate
can help lower insurance and is now required by many port authorities before
access to the water is permitted.
Age Restrictions - The minimum age is 12 years. Under 16s will be issued
with an endorsed certificate, requiring adult supervision.
(Juniors under 16 must be accompanied by their parent or Guardian)
Course Length - 1 day
Certification - RYA Personal Watercraft Certificate of Competence
(Internationally Recognized)
Previous Experience - None required
Ability after the course - Proficient and Self-sufficient in good
conditions. Aware of limitations of self and vessel.

Practical
Familiarization
Control at slow speed
Falling off and rebounding
Capsize and righting
Control at speed
Following a planned route
Identifying buoys and marks
Recognizing potential collision situations and taking correct avoiding action
Slalom exercise
Towing a PWC
Knots
Theory
Personal equipment
Launching and landing
Safety equipment
Collision avoidance
Orientation at sea including subjects such as charts, buoys, tides and compass
use
Weather forecasts
Emergency equipment

International Certificate of Competency (ICC) - for Power boating including Personal Watercraft, which is available from this school.

All courses are run by an appropriately qualified and experienced course instructor.
RYA Certificates will only be issued on successful completion of these courses.
